Questions about downloading Accruva

If your question isn’t here, drop us a line at support@accruva.app.

Is the Accruva reading app really free?
Yes. The free tier includes all five reading modes (up to 400 WPM), the tap-on-word dictionary, full data export, the study planner, Pomodoro timer, streaks, all 30 badges, and every accessibility feature. You get one import a day and a library of up to 20 documents, plus AI study tools with two generations per feature each day. No card needed, and no trial that expires.
What happens if I never upgrade to Pro?
Nothing bad. You keep using Accruva Free for as long as you like. The 400 WPM ceiling is the main thing Pro lifts, and most readers never reach it. Pro adds higher reading speeds (up to 1,000 WPM), 150 AI generations a day, an unlimited library, cloud sync, the Smart Review dashboard, and removes ads. The full picture is on the pricing page.
Are there ads on the free tier?
There are, but we’ve been careful with them. No ads appear until you’ve finished your first reading session, and none interrupt your reading. Free users can also watch a short rewarded video to unlock extra AI generations beyond the daily two-per-feature baseline. Every Pro tier is completely ad-free.
Does Accruva work offline?
All five reading modes, your flashcards, the study planner, and any documents you’ve already imported work fully offline. The AI study tools (quiz, flashcard, and summary generation) need a connection, since they call the model in the cloud.
I have ADHD or dyslexia. Will Accruva help?
It’s the audience the app was built around. Focus mode (RSVP) and ADHD/Zen mode are designed for ADHD readers; the Atkinson Hyperlegible dyslexia font, preset wider spacing, and Bold Flow help dyslexic readers. The RSVP study for ADHD readers and the accessibility page cover what’s there.
Which platforms is Accruva available on?
Android is live now on Google Play. iOS is coming soon, and Windows is in development. The same account and features will carry across when they land.
