Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making Accruva — both this website and the apps — usable by everyone, including neurodivergent readers and people with disabilities.

Last reviewed: 29 April 2026

Last substantive update: 29 April 2026

This statement applies to: the accruva.app website and the Accruva mobile and desktop applications (Android, iOS, and Windows).

Our commitment

At WulverDev Ltd, accessibility isn’t a feature we added late in the build — it’s the reason much of Accruva exists. Many of the Accruva product’s core features were designed because accessibility is central to it: the ADHD/Zen reading mode, the Atkinson Hyperlegible typography option, configurable letter and line spacing, reduced motion controls, and adjustable Optimal Recognition Point positioning. Every accessibility feature in the Accruva app is included in the free tier, and always will be.

This statement explains what conformance level we are designed to meet, what we’ve done so far, what we know we still need to improve, and how to tell us when something isn’t working for you.

Conformance status

Both this website and the Accruva apps are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

We have not yet had a formal third-party accessibility audit. We say “designed to meet” rather than “fully conformant” because we believe the difference matters. We use automated accessibility checkers and manual testing during development, but until an independent audit has been carried out, we will not make stronger claims.

We aim to commission a formal audit within 12 months of launch, with results published openly on this page.

What we have done

On the accruva.app website

  • Designed to AA contrast ratio standards across the brand palette
  • Semantic HTML structure with descriptive alt text on all images
  • Keyboard-navigable across all interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators on links and buttons
  • “Skip to content” link at the top of every page
  • Mobile-responsive layouts that respect user-set font sizes
  • Cookie consent banner tested for keyboard navigation and contrast
  • Forms that use proper labels rather than placeholder-only input fields

In the Accruva app

  • ADHD / Zen Mode — single-word focus, hidden controls, no visual competition
  • Atkinson Hyperlegible font option — designed by the Braille Institute for distinct character recognition
  • Configurable typography — letter spacing, word spacing, and line height fully adjustable
  • High contrast and Flat UI modes — for low-vision users and those overwhelmed by visual complexity
  • Reduce Motion setting — disables all animations and transitions globally
  • ORP Position Control — three settings (28%, 33%, 50%) to match different visual processing styles
  • System screen reader compatibility — TalkBack (Android), VoiceOver (iOS), Narrator (Windows)
  • Adjustable reading speed — from gentle pacing upward, with no minimum speed assumption
  • Pomodoro timer — six work durations and three break lengths to support sustained attention

Across both

  • Plain language wherever possible
  • Visual hierarchy that doesn’t rely on colour alone
  • Every accessibility feature in the app is in the free tier — never paywalled

Known limitations

We want to be straightforward about where work is still needed. The following are areas we are aware of and are working to address:

  • Formal screen reader testing has not yet been completed across all user journeys. Some longer-form content pages and interactive elements may have accessibility gaps we have not yet identified or fixed.
  • Video content does not yet have full caption coverage. Where videos appear on the website, transcripts and captions will be added progressively.
  • PDF documents (where present) have not been fully remediated for accessibility metadata and tag structure.
  • The Windows version of the Accruva app is the least mature platform. Some accessibility features available on Android and iOS are still being added to the Windows build.
  • The cookie consent banner uses a third-party plugin (Complianz) which we have customised for AA contrast but cannot fully control for screen reader keyboard flow.
  • The reading speed test on /reading-speed-test/ has not yet been formally tested with assistive technologies.

We list these openly because we’d rather tell you what isn’t working than have you find out by hitting it.

How to report an accessibility problem

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website or in any Accruva app — or if there is something we could be doing better — please contact us. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority.

Email: support@accruva.app

Subject line: Accessibility feedback (this helps us prioritise it)

When you contact us, it helps if you can tell us:

  • What you were trying to do
  • Which page or screen you were on
  • What got in the way
  • The device, browser, or assistive technology you were using (if known)

We will acknowledge your message within 2 working days and aim to respond substantively within 5 working days. If your message identifies a specific accessibility barrier, we will tell you what we plan to do and provide an expected timeline.

Enforcement procedure

If you contact us about an accessibility issue and you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate under the Equality Act 2010 by contacting the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides advice and support on equality and human rights matters in England, Scotland, and Wales:

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technologies

This website is designed to be compatible with the most recent two versions of the following browsers, used with their respective system screen readers and accessibility tools:

  • Google Chrome
  • Apple Safari
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge

The Accruva app is designed to be compatible with:

  • TalkBack (Android 9 and later)
  • VoiceOver (iOS 16 and later)
  • Narrator (Windows 10 and later)

The website may not display correctly on browsers older than the latest two major versions, or with browsers and assistive technologies that do not support modern web standards.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with the combination of web browser and assistive technologies installed on your computer:

  • HTML5
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

How we tested this website

The most recent self-evaluation of this website and the Accruva apps was performed in April 2026 using:

  • Manual keyboard navigation testing
  • Automated accessibility checkers (including Lighthouse and axe DevTools)
  • Manual contrast testing against WCAG 2.1 AA ratios
  • Real-world testing during product development by users with dyslexia and ADHD

A formal third-party audit has not yet been carried out. We will update this statement when one has been.

What we are doing to improve

We commit to:

  • Reviewing this statement at least once every 12 months
  • Completing a formal third-party accessibility audit within 12 months of launch and publishing the results
  • Fixing reported accessibility issues within agreed timelines
  • Documenting accessibility considerations as a standing item in every product release cycle
  • Continuing to design new features with accessibility as a starting point, not a final check
