Can I really use Accruva for free?
Yes. The free tier includes all five reading modes (up to 400 WPM, every sub-style), camera scan, flashcards with spaced repetition, AI study tools (15 generations per day), the full study planner, the tap-on-word dictionary, full data export, and every accessibility feature. The Free tier is supported by minimal ads — you can get rid of them by upgrading to Pro.
What does the 7-day free trial include?
Everything Pro offers, with no restrictions. The trial is included with the Annual plan only. Cancel before day 7 and you won’t be charged. Stay on and the £49.99 annual subscription begins automatically.
What’s actually different about Pro?
Pro lifts the caps and unlocks the advanced study tools. The big changes: WPM goes from 400 to 1,000, your document library and flashcards become unlimited (instead of 20 each), AI generations go to 150 per day (instead of 15), and you unlock the full Smart Review dashboard, cloud sync across devices, the three Supporter badges, automatic weekend streak protection, and an ad-free experience. All five reading modes and every sub-style are free on either tier.
Where does Accruva run?
Accruva is currently available on Android via Google Play. iOS and Windows versions are in development. All payments are handled through Google Play, so cancellations and refunds are managed through your Play Store subscription settings.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or switch between Monthly and Annual any time from Google Play. If you downgrade to Free, you keep all your local documents and progress — you just lose access to Pro features and any documents above the 20-document Free library cap will need to be removed or re-imported as you reach the limit.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your documents, highlights, notes, and flashcards stay on your device. Cloud-synced data is retained for up to 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind. After that, it’s permanently deleted from our servers.
Do ads in the free tier get in the way?
We’ve been deliberate about this. There are a maximum of three small banner placements (Library, Study, Progress) and one interstitial that only appears after you finish reading a complete document. No ads appear at all until you’ve completed your first reading session. You won’t see ads interrupting your reading flow.
Can I earn extra AI calls without paying?
Yes. Of your 15 daily AI calls, six come with no ads at all. The other nine are unlocked by watching a short rewarded video — one call per video, up to three per AI feature per day. Watching ads is simply how you reach the 15-a-day free maximum without paying.
